My Father's Dragon

This fiction book is about how the narrator's father met a cat who told him about a mysterious island that has a dragon used by animals to cross a river. On his way to the island, he fixed the animals problems. When he tried to free the dragon, animals attacked him but he was successful and returned home flying on the dragon.
My favourite part is when cat told the author's father about the mysterious island story because it sounded interesting.
